Beacon Properties Group and Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate Announce the Official Start of Construction on Mixed-Use Building to Serve Rapidly Growing Western CaryCary, NC, January 29, 2019 –

Beacon Properties Group and Pickett Sprouse Commercial Real Estate are pleased to announce that construction on a mixed-use building that will serve rapidly growing western Cary is now underway. A groundbreaking ceremony for the property at 150 Wellesley Trade Lane was held on January 17, 2019. The 28,231 SF building will be located at the corner of High House Road, Green Level Road and Highway 55, which is only one mile from I-540 and minutes away from Research Triangle Park.

“This area of Cary is quickly changing with 19,000 vehicles per day traveling along High House and Green Level Roads and at least 26,000 vehicles per day traveling along Highway 55,” said Jerry Gambill, Commercial Broker for Pickett Sprouse. “That type of growth requires a mix of services in a convenient location that will meet the needs of customers and business owners alike. This development is going to do that and much more.”

The two-story building will feature up to 16,000 SF of Class A medical office and office space and up to 10,000 SF of personal service/retail space, which includes 3,400 SF for a restaurant. Pickett Sprouse, which was recently acquired by West & Woodall, is handling leasing and the project was designed by Tim Barber of Barber Architects and EarthCentric Engineering.Beacon Properties Group is the project’s developer.

“This beautifully-designed facility offers a classic but modern feel for a variety of businesses serving the everyday needs of Cary residents, workers and visitors,” said Kathryn Howlett Abrams, Partner at Beacon Properties. “Since our goal is to develop well-designed and functional spaces that represent the communities in which they’re located, I couldn’t be more excited about what’s in store for this project.”

“We are pleased to be working with our partners at Beacon Properties on this project,” said Vernon Averett, CCIM, Commercial Broker for Pickett Sprouse. “Their work is always of the highest quality, which in turn, means that the same holds true for the tenants their buildings are able to attract.”

The building is expected to be completed by Summer 2019, and pre-selling and leasing is already underway. (Photos of rendering and groundbreaking are available on request).
