Curious Reader, Creative Pianist, Attentive Baker, Determined Hiker and Loyal UNC Tar Heel Fan.

Mary Elizabeth Hill Hanchey is a NC native who first moved to Durham in 1983. She grew up in northern Durham, attending Eno Valley, Carrington, and Northern (though she also lived in Elizabeth City and Kinston during that time); swimming at Eno Valley Swim and Racquet; and working at the Museum of Life and Science. She knows all the best hiking trails and all the back roads. Mary Elizabeth earned a BA from UNC, a JD from UNC School of Law, and an MDiv from Duke Divinity School. Though she loves teaching and writing, Mary Elizabeth has a passion for real estate and for stories. She wants to know yours!

Mary Elizabeth lives in SW Durham with her husband, three children, and a small but wild dog that was supposed to be a black lab but is not.
